Back to the subject of death of the author, I hate that this phrase is regarded as a universally positive thing.
( I mention the word rapist but there's no actual assault, also I mention genitalia attributes?? more rambling )

I ended up buying Fallout 3 in the Steam Summer Sale, because I'd wanted to give it a try for a long time, but never got around to it. Getting it to work on my laptop was tricksy, and it's crashing more than I'd like it to, but... it's a Bethesda game. That sort of comes with the territory. (Forever annoyed that I can't alt+tab, though.)
I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH, YOU GUYS. And I normally hate post-apocalyptic settings, so I'm really surprised. I statted high in intelligence + agility, because "stealthing gunbunny hacker" sounds like my kind of playstyle. I'm already thinking of subsequent runs. At some point, I want to play a character who specializes solely in punching things.
I'm looking at the mods, now, and wondering how many of these I can get away with installing. This really is not a gaming laptop. The fact that this is an older game helps, but whenever I think of my poor, underachieving laptop fan, I get stressed. Does anyone play with mods, and if so, do you have any recs?
I regret not also picking up New Vegas, but I doubt I'll have to wait long for it to go on sale again. Apparently there's a mod that combines both games in the NV engine? That sounds awesome.
